What’s up, I’m Amanda Lauren
I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based out of Houston, Texas. I’ve had this little business of mine for over four years now, and my goal this year is to finally start growing it from just “little”. Photography found me unexpectedly back in 2020, so while I may not have had a love for it my whole life, let me just say that the passion hit me like a freight train. Now, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else, and my camera and clients have brought me more joy in life than I could have ever imagined.
My other joys in life include concerts, heavy music, riding around in my jeep with the top off, my dog and three cats, and my boyfriend Dylan, who has been more supportive of my photography journey than anyone else in my life.
When I’m not behind the camera you can find me blasting vinyl records or curled up with my dog and a book.
Bold and cinematic memories to last a lifetime.
I’ve always loved everything bold (if you can’t tell), and the way film and cinema can capture a story like no other. So that’s what I try to incorporate into my work, the bold moments, a cinematic look that makes it seem like you’re part of a classic 2000’s rom-com.
I also believe that there is nothing more authentic than who a person becomes and the emotions they feel while at a rock concert. That feeling, standing there with thousands of people all pouring their heart out to the same thing. That little flutter in your heart that you get when you realize exactly what you’re apart of in that moment, and the same flutter you get when you look back at being there.
That is the feeling I strive to recreate in my pictures. It’s a feeling that doesn’t come around very often, so if I can make someone have that feeling every time they look at their pictures, then my dream has become a reality. I want you to take a look at your pictures from a moment in your life and get a flutter in your heart.
